This short route, which is essentially an approach path to the Lutherweg Sachsen, leads through short woodland sections, along small fast streams, and idyllic meadow ponds. Luther often had to pass through this area on his travels between Torgau and Grimma. After the Reformation was introduced in Albertine Saxony in 1539, the town of Dahlen also opened up to the new faith. In Dahlen, you should visit the city church, which houses a 35m² large fresco of Saint Christopher.

The path begins on Dahlener Kirchstraße and leads over Schwanengässchen and August-Bebel-Straße, which simultaneously serves as the Ecumenical Pilgrimage Route up to the market, then turns right over Schlossstraße past the Dahlen castle to leave the town. At the Gräfenhainer mill, it continues north following the little stream “Dahle” directly past the mill and grass pond. Over the path “An der Dahle” and Buchaer Straße, you reach Schmannewitz. Here, follow Alte Lindenstraße, turn right onto a small trail that runs along the “Dahle”, then turn left again on Schulstraße.
