The hike leads through orchards in the middle of the beautiful landscape of the Saxon Burgenland and ends at the river "Freiberger Mulde", where Mildenstein Castle rises above the town of Leisnig.

From Mügeln's historic town center, the trail leads south to Sornzig. Here you will find the former convent complex of the Marienthal nunnery, which also offers overnight accommodation. The route follows small village roads through orchards and small villages. Shortly before Fischendorf, hikers are rewarded on a small hill with a magnificent view of Mildenstein Castle, which overlooks the town of Leisnig on the Freiberger Mulde river. There are numerous exhibitions to visit at the castle. Including the world's largest top boot in the neighboring boot museum. It was here that Martin Luther wrote letters to the council and the Leisnig parish, which contained fundamental remarks on the reformatory reorganization of parish life. The oldest Protestant social document was written in Leisnig: the Leisnig Caste Order.
