Behind Mittweida the landscape becomes a bit hillier. Along small field paths and village streets, there are some churches to visit in the small towns before you can already see the towers of the castle and the city church of Rochlitz from a distance. This place has special significance for the Reformation due to the work of Duchess Elisabeth of Saxony, who introduced the Reformation in her domain from 1537. But also Johann Mathesius, a student of Luther and his first biographer, had his roots in this town.

Directions
In Mittweida, you start at Kirchberg, walk along Frongasse and leave the town through the Schwanenpark towards the industrial area. The path leads west out of town along Leipziger Straße. Village streets and field paths lead the hiker through Frankenau and Topfseifertsdorf, past Niederthalheim over the Winkelner Mill to Kolkau. The path here always follows the Erlbach. Beyond Seelitz, the path crosses the B107 and continues north, parallel to the B107, to Rochlitz. Before Rochlitz, you cross the river "Zwickauer Mulde" and enter the town center via Dresdner Straße and Clemens Pfau Platz.
