Zöbigker Bicycle Church
Some visit the church alone to say a prayer or marvel at its aura. Others come as pilgrims along the various designated pilgrimage routes, such as the Luther Trail. For them, there is a pilgrims’ lounge with two cots, a table, and chairs. Shower facilities are also available. Some look forward to the roughly 20 events and opportunities to connect with others. Devotional services, festivals, culture, and history fascinate many. The Bicycle Church remains an ideal destination within the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Markkleeberg for finding a moment of reflection away from the tourist crowds or for experiencing unique, accessible events: “Whoever is thirsty, come” is our guiding principle.
