Schildberg Tower near Schildau
At 217.2 m above sea level, the Schildberg is one of the highest peaks in the region. From the 26-meter-high Schildberg Tower, visitors can enjoy a fascinating view of the Dahlener Heide landscape conservation area, as well as the town of Schildau and the surrounding villages. The Schildberg Tower was built in 1936 using quartz porphyry from the quarry located at the foot of the mountain.

This year, the Schildberg Tower will be open on Sundays and holidays from April 28 through October 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
