In keeping with the motto C the Unseen, the museum holdings hidden in the depot will be made visible from May 17 to September 14, 2025. The focus will be on 25 selected works of art from both museums that are related on various levels. For example, works by Brücke artists from Chemnitz and Zwickau will be examined, as well as lesser-known protagonists from our art region.

This research not only promotes dialog between the collections, but also opens up new perspectives on the artworks and their historical contexts. The exchange takes place in both digital and analog formats and illuminates the connections between the two cities in order to create a deeper, identity-forming understanding of regional art history.
